The St. Aloyisigas Gonzaga scholarship is the first of its kind offered to students who serve our Lord through steadfast assistance and devotion as an Altar Server at St. Philip at least once a month. Altar servers may apply for this scholarship in their senior year.
Award expectations- Altar serving for 4 years and a 1500 word essay.
Also, new to our program is Altar Server of the month!
Each server of the month will be selected together by Father James and Father Dave. Their decision will be based on a list of criteria that have been given to each server. The Altar server of the month will be featured in the bulletin, the St. Philip website and on our social media sites.
Hours that you serve can be used for Community Service hours and the National Honors Society.
Servers will be asked to serve at least 1 Mass per month. We are asking all servers and those who are interested in becoming a server to participate. It is a way to give back to your church and community.
